Our Revolution/Ocasio endorsed Hawaii candidate who used campaign donations to pay his rent

The group Our Revolution publicly endorses Kaniela Ing for Hawaii's First District (HI-01).
Yesterday, Ms. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez visited Mr. Ing, whom she endorsed:

As reported in Roll Call, Mr. Ing was fined back in June because he "used $2,125 to pay rent and $219 to make a payment on his domestic partner’s credit card account. He deposited a $2,000 campaign check into his personal account and never reported it, according to the commission."

Experts were puzzled by the fact that Ing avoided jail:

"Ing avoided jail time despite the fact Commissioner Gregory Shoda said there were previous cases where far fewer false reports warranted such a penalty.

“The level or the number of violations is astounding basically,” Shoda said. “Every single report is incorrect.”"

Our Revolution, an offshoot of the Bernie Sanders 2016 campaign, often rails against "corrupt" centrist and Left-center candidates.

As I type this, Mr. Ing is currently in fourth place as primary results trickle in: https://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/hawaii-house-district-1-primary-election

Trump tariffs have forced us into bankruptcy and liquidation, says PC case maker CaseLabs

Source: Independent UK

A high-end PC case maker says it has been “forced into bankruptcy and liquidation” by tariffs introduced by Donald Trump.

CaseLabs, which makes custom towers for computers and has a high-profile following, including prominent YouTubers such as LinusTechTips, announced it would be permanently closing on Saturday.

The company, based in California, said tariffs had raised costs by almost 80 per cent and that “the default of a large account” had added to the issue.

Don't worry, Trump will bail them out as he did the farmers. Right?

Tulsi Gabbard won't debate Democratic opponent, sparking accusations of hypocrisy

Tulsi Gabbard's defense of Vladimir Putin as well as her denial that Syria's Assad killed his people with chemical weapons are thought to be reasons why Gabbard won't debate (so as to avoid tough questions).

Ms. Gabbard called for more debates between Hillary Clinton and her favorite Bernie Sanders in 2016:

from The Guardian yesterday:

It is not uncommon for dominant incumbents to generally avoid debates. But Gabbard’s decision to decline to participate in such a forum has exposed her to charges of hypocrisy, since she forcefully advocated for adding more debates between Clinton and Sanders in 2016 in a high-profile split from other DNC leaders.

North Korea had 20 nukes when Trump became President. Now it has 40

Update to the worst "deal" made by any American president in history:

"While there is no agreement on how many nuclear weapons North Korea now owns, the C.I.A.’s official estimate of around 20, issued when Mr. Trump came to office, is creeping up, officials said. The current estimates are closer to 40."

Senate Intelligence Committee calls on Assange to testify

Source: CNN

WikiLeaks announced in a tweet Wednesday the Senate Intelligence Committee called on its founder Julian Assange to testify on Russian interference in the 2016 election.

"US Senate Intelligence Committee calls editor @JulianAssange to testify. Letter delivered via US embassy in London. WikiLeaks' legal team say they are 'considering the offer but testimony must conform to a high ethical standard,'" the tweet said.

The tweet also included a copy of the letter delivered to Assange.

It requests Assange make himself "available" for a closed interview with the committee "at a mutually agreeable time and location," and to respond as soon as he receives the letter.
